Our Director Charles Mellick first collaborated with Graham Morrison, lead architect at Bruce Henderson Architects, 15 years ago. The head office of BHA is located in South Yarra, and their work has significantly influenced the architectural fabric of the local area. Interior designers Ewert Leaf, and builders Cobild, are also long term partners for Fortis.

Materiality

Simple pleasures can be found in the details of Bower. From the chunky loop pile carpet made from 100% wool to the frameless gas fireplace that draws your eye straight to its flames. The tundra grey wall tiles of the master ensuite have been custom-routed, to accentuate the stone’s grey veining and provide a unique tactile quality.

In focus

Cubed planters with cascade planting pull landscaping into the building to provide green relief. Planter drainage flows below the raised pavers of the outdoor terrace, before connecting to the downpipe for stormwater drainage.
