For our new Melbourne home, we wanted to try something different. So instead of a tight creative brief, we entered into a collaboration with one of Australia’s leading architecture firms, Ewert Leaf, to determine the creative vision. It saw an in-house design competition with five internal teams of architects at Ewert Leaf each submitting their own designs for the nine-storey commercial and retail space, including more than 3,300sqm of NLA.
“Inspired by Japanese modernist architecture, we wanted to create a sense of place and refined elegance in the rich streetscape of Palmerston Crescent.”

The Ewert Leaf design competition winners worked closely with our team at Fortis to produce the final designs, which have now been submitted to council for approval. Maximising the outlook to the city through a series of bold framing elements, Pallas House Melbourne uses clean and simple materiality.
