Breaking ground on Australia’s first RH Gallery

A landmark development

Events

Fortis has broken ground on the RH Gallery at 19-27 Bay Street, Double Bay, marking a significant milestone in the area’s ongoing revitalisation. The groundbreaking ceremony, attended by key partners, including head contractor Lords Group and project manager Neoscape, signals the arrival of the world-renowned luxury lifestyle brand RH to Australia and the Asia-Pacific region for the first time.

The major milestone coincides with appointment of Lords Group as the Early Works delivery partner, building on the successful relationship that has been instrumental in reshaping the area with the delivery of several of mixed-use developments across the Fortis portfolio.

Ed Eve, General Manager, Development – NSW at Fortis, expressed his excitement at the ceremony: “We are thrilled to begin construction on what will undoubtedly be a landmark development for Double Bay. Working with RH to bring this beautiful building and iconic lifestyle brand to the heart of Sydney’s eastern suburbs is an exciting new chapter for Fortis.”

The RH Gallery, developed by Fortis and designed by MHNDU, will encompass 3,400 square metres of interior and exterior gallery space. It will showcase artistic installations of luxury home furnishings from internationally acclaimed designers, as well as rare art, antiques and artefacts. The gallery will also include an RH Interior Design Studio and a glass pavilion rooftop restaurant offering panoramic views of Double Bay and Sydney Harbour.
